  1. nice can’t wait for the full version

  2. OMG! I’ve been waiting for this!
Not much longer until the full release!

  3. =p I kind of wonder how long it’ll be until people start comparing the old TL to my new one.

  4. I really enjoyed this game even with the poor translation before… (although I stopped midway because I couldn’t bare it…)

At last I will see its true colors!

  5. personally i had no problem w the game before hand its not like u couldn’t understand it

    • Is the new translation (although a better and more correct one) going to be that much different from the old one in respect of story? Like some major ideas were not translated before and are now? I also thought the old translation was fine since the story was so good, and it didn’t bother me that much at all reading it like that.

      • The story is still the same, but there’s quite a bit of difference to the language use, which can be really important in a game with this many jokes, puns, and other humor resting in the text.

Think of it like a gemstone: A ruby is still a ruby, but there’s a noticeable difference between the raw crystal and once it’s been treated and cut.

  6. Excitement! I’ll get right on this~ Any chance of KiraKira getting a retranslation too?

  7. Awesome news, will give this one a whirl now 🙂

  8. eh i never saw the issue with the first, it had some bad lines…ok REALLY bad lines but it was still somewhat understandable,
expect the last 5 lines in the natsumi route…that was illegible as can be.

  9. I haven’t read Edelweiss so I’ll definitely be giving the demo a try!

    • Just finished the trial and to my surprise, I really enjoyed it more than I thought. I was sort of interested in it at first but now I’m definitely interested.

Was there a release date set for the re-translation patch?

  10. Just so you know, I have a typo report on the Edelweiss demo here: http://mangagamer.site11.com/viewtopic.php?p=7145#p7145

  11. how far does the trial go and would the old walkthrough work for the new version

    • The trial for Edelweiss covers the opening of the game all the way up to where you have your first real choice about which girl to interact with. It introduces all the characters, the basic premise of why they’re on the island, and then wraps up with a night of the guys sitting down for a man-to-man talk about who’s the hottest chick there and who’s got dibs on who. =D

It does not however, go far enough to really get into any of the girls’ individual stories or the development of any relationships.

The wrap-up scene with the guys is actually exclusive to the demo.

And yes, the choices are the same so no reason the old walk-through wouldn’t work.

  12. Just finished the Demo and I certainly enjoyed it. I’ve not tried the “original” translation but this one certainly was good. Think I only noticed one typo in my playthrough.

Quick question kouryuu. When I pick up the full version, is the start of it going to be exactly the same as the trial? Eg, can I ctrl through to that first decision point without missing anything?

Can’t wait to see the full version btw 🙂

    • Yeah, the first part’s going to be the same so you can ctrl through. The demo was all scripts from the main-game with the exception of the demo-exclusive script where you and the three stooges chat it up at the end.

  13. I’ve waiting cheerfully on a 2.0 version for HinataBokko too ^^

  14. I just finished the trial version. And I pretty interested in the full version now. I wasn’t too into it before but yeah, seems to be a great game.

  15. Great stuff! Will be waiting for the full version to come out… is there a tentative release date for it yet? What about Eiden Fantasia… will it be getting the same treatment as well?
