For all you BL fans out there, Hashihime of the Old Book Town is finally coming to MangaGamer and Steam on September 26th!
Due to ongoing payment processor issues, customers can purchase their copy of Hashihime of the Old Book Town as soon as credit card processing is restored on our website, or on Steam on launch day. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Hello, Kouryuu here! So today we’re actually going to be discussing a slightly more serious topic: Child welfare.
Higurashi Ch. 7 focuses a lot on a specific characters’ struggle with child welfare officials, and we decided to provide a brief look into the history of child welfare in Japan, and some of its problems—specifically its difficulty in handling cases of abuse, leading up to where it lay at the time of Higurashi, around 1983.
You may be aware that our website has been unable to process payments since late last night. Our team has been working to try and remedy this issue, but it may take some time to resolve.
Purchases on our website will be temporarily disabled while we work with our management team to resolve this problem and find a new payment processor. Should our website need to go down for maintenance, we will notify you all as soon as possible. We will provide updates on when our website can resume accepting payments and/or we have a temporary workaround in place.
In the meantime, why not check out the Steam Summer Sale? A vast majority of our catalog is currently discounted for the event. You can find the list of discounts here.
We sincerely hope to resume service for our loyal customers as soon as possible. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
It’s been a long time coming, but we’re excited to launch our official Discord server today! Come join our staff, fans, and your fellow customers to talk about all things MangaGamer! Get project updates, news, and participate in future Discord-exclusive giveaways!
