In Hashihime of the Old Book Town, many unusual, foreign, and unique terms are used throughout the story. Our team integrated a pop-up system during the English localization, which allows you to click on select terms and learn more about various cultural, literary, and historical references without breaking immersion or requiring an extensive Google search to better understand what you’re actually reading.
It wasn’t until later that the localization team decided, “Hey, wouldn’t it be cool if we added all that info to a PDF?” So here we are!

The PDF includes the following:
- Song lyrics and credits for HALLUCINATION, EYES ONLY, and BIBLIOPHILIA
- List of all in-game pop-up notes, with added definitions and types.
- List of all referenced books, texts, and other literary works.
We have made note of it in the document, but the pop-up notes and last handful of pages do include some spoilers. We strongly recommend finishing at least one playthrough, at least until the first ending, before reading that section of the document.
