Lots of suggestions moving up this year and quite a few newer titles as well! You all may be in four a much-wanted surprise this year~
As for the rest of the numbers, we had roughly the same number of participants this year, with a pretty similar base demographic split as previous years as well:
Most of you don’t lose any sleep researching titles before making a purchase, spending just a few hours on it, and about a third of you follow influencers of some sort in the gaming space!
We threw in a few fun questions this year about your playing habits with visual novels. When it comes to guides, most of you like to try to figure it out yourselves for your first playthrough:
When it comes to “good” and “bad” endings, most of you don’t show a strong preference for pursuing a specific type of ending first, but of those who do, more like to get bad endings “out of the way” early:
On the topic of favorite characters, the majority of you only know your favorite by the end of the common route, but about a third of you know before you even start the game!
And lastly, we asked how you all felt about food scenes in games and it doesn’t look like our players have nearly as strong feelings about these scenes as many of our poor localization staff who often struggle with how hungry they get having to translate detailed descriptions of delicious food:
And that about covers it for this year’s survey! Thank you all for participating and we hope you enjoyed reading about the results!
