Today we would like to congratulate our partners at Japanime Games and Culture Select for successfully reaching their funding goal for the Heart of Crown PC Game!

Heart of Crown is an exciting deck-building card game with high-quality artwork by FlipFlops, the creators of the manga, Everyday Tales of a Cat God, and the artists for Etrian Odyssey II: The girl of six flowers, where you and other players compete to push your princess’s claim to throne and see her crowned as the new ruler. Beat Blades Haruka’s Release Date Change

beatbladesharuka

As you are all aware, we have been dealing with issues with our payment processor for the past week and a half. We have made every effort to get processing back up and running in time for Beat Blades Haruka‘s originally scheduled release date, but we will need just a little bit more time to get everything fully operational again.

As you may have seen on our social media outlets, we have found a new payment processor, and are making finishing arrangements with them now. At this time, we have tentatively rescheduled Beat Blades Haruka’s release date for February 29th, 2016. Also, due to these unforeseen issues, we will be extending the discounted pre-order price through the end of its release week!

We would like to thank you all for your patience, and for all the messages of encouragement you have been sending us for the past week. It really does mean a lot to all of us here at MangaGamer.

Notice Regarding Winged Cloud Titles

Regretfully, we must announce that MangaGamer will no longer be publishing Winged Cloud games, including the previously announced title, Sakura Dungeon. Due to intractable creative differences, we have been forced to let Winged Cloud go, and will no longer be able to offer support for their current or future titles.

Fans may still purchase Winged Cloud titles from us from now until February 29th, and those who do will be able to have access to the MangaGamer Editions, which were updated from their original source by our quality assurance team. These editions will no longer be available for public purchase after February 29th. Sakura Santa on Steam will be transferred to Winged Cloud’s new publisher and updated to their version of the title. If you would like to retain the MangaGamer version of the game, make sure you uncheck “automatic updates” for the game by February 29th.

Pay Processor Issues

sorry

You may be aware that for the weekend our website has been unable to process payments. We’ve been hard at work trying to remedy this issue, but it may take some time to resolve. The issue is a rather complicated one.

Over the past few months we have been suffering from a drastically heightened number of fraudulent purchases using stolen credit cards on our site. The fraudulent activity has been focused almost exclusively on games that come with Steam keys, with the intent to re-sell on third party websites. Continue reading

What Kind of Game is Beat Blades Haruka?

haruka-pre
Hi, this is Beat Blades Haruka translator and professional Alicesoft fan guy Arunaru. Are you looking forward to Beat Blades Haruka? You should be, it’s pretty good, in my professional opinion. But I do think people aren’t entirely clear on what this game’s all about, exactly. Haruka being not so much a visual novel as a game proper, as Alicesoft titles tend to be, you don’t really get the whole picture from a simple story summary or what have you. And the gameplay in Haruka is pretty unique, on top of that. So let’s see if I can shed some light on it here. Continue reading

Free Friends 2 – Tester’s Corner Vol. 2

Title ImageYoho~ Rance-sama here! I’d just like start by saying that Free Friends 2 is actually a very high quality Nukige. The story and plot feel much more invested in rather than just being a means to an end for the H scenes. It really does an excellent job of getting you attached to the characters, so it can rip your heart out, stomp on it, and Tidus laugh in your face. When vndb tags Free Friends 2 with “Depression” and “Evil Route”, it’s not messing around. You have the Pure Love Route and the Depravity/Corruption Route, so all you softies out there can still enjoy your romance while the rest of us sick motherfuckers get to enjoy something so malicious and twisted that it would make even the evil otter pleased. Everybody wins! Especially the otter. Continue reading
