Hi there, Cafe here. Let’s take a look back at Sweet Sweat in Summer, which was appropriately released during July of this year. It’s a little colder now, but maybe Sweet Sweat might be able to help you warm up a bit?
For those who might’ve missed it, Sweet Sweat in Summer focuses on Kouhei, visiting his hometown for the first time since he lost his memories of it as a kid. It’s there that he finds that the town itself is empty save for one mischievous girl named Karin. Through sweat, tears, and other bodily fluids, you’ll piece together your memories and the mystery surrounding the town and Karin.
This is a very “light” title. I was able to complete the translation for it in less than a month because the writing was very succinct and focused more on dialogue rather than narration. Which was great, because it fit the game and really brought Karin’s role to life (who is voiced by Serizono Miya, known particularly for her role as Rinrin in Koihime Musou). This also gives the art a chance to shine, and I really feel like this title has high-quality art despite the low cost of entry.
Sweet Sweat in Summer was somewhat lost in the crowd during the summer, what with it being con season and all. It’s not a particularly long game, but it’s very much worth the price of admission. By supporting this title you’re showing that there is an interest in these types of games (particularly ones with younger-looking heroines), and it means that we can potentially work on bringing similar titles over in the future.
So if this all sounds good, be sure to check out the game on our site.
